Mike Krzyzewski and Anne Donovan were co-winners Thursday of the 2008 USA Basketball national coach of the year award.
They guided their teams to gold medals at the Beijing Olympics.
Donovan became the first person in USA Basketball history to win Olympic gold as an athlete and head coach. She was East Carolina’s head coach from 1995 to 1997.
Duke’s Krzyzewski is the first three-time winner of the award.
