I have been a Duke fan since 1987 (5 years old). I went to a Christian school in Raleigh, and we played Durham Academy. I was doing stats for our JV team back in 2000. We were at Durham Academy, we stayed and watched the girls game then the varsity boys. Not really many people in the stands.

During the girls game Coach K and the Mrs. come in and sit down. Naturally as a Duke fan I about had a heart attack. I remembered his daughter was at DA at the time.

Well I went over with a couple buddies to talk to him. I grilled him about the upcoming Carolina game. Now, this is a man who is famous and was just there to watch his daughter play, and probably didnt wanna be hassled. But he gave me the time of day, actually talked about the upcoming Carolina game with me, and signed a piece of notebook paper for me which I still have.

THAT is a humble man. Thanks Coach!!! Go Go Duuuuke!!!
