Hi my name is Tod Hart. My father (Tom Hart) played in the NBA in the 50′s for a year for the St. Louis Hawks. He was a standout at Middlebury college in VT. They always lived in the northeast, but my father was always a big Duke fan. My parents moved to N.Carolina about 20 years ago and now live in Wilmington. My father never misses watching a game. It’s what he lives for. He now (in his 70′s) has difficulty walking. At most a couple hundred yards at a time. For Christmas, I gave him tickets to the St. Johns game. They had to park at the furthest lot. (they claim it was 6 miles up hill??) He struggled to walk it…from time to time people helped him…but nothing would stop him from getting to the game..they arrived 10 minutes before tip off..had the time of their life and hitched a ride back to their car…This may have been his final and biggest "hustle" of his career….He is a true fan!!
